Class Materials

There is currently no book that the children use regularly. Last year, we distributed a folder and a CD of Langenscheidt's Meine Freunde und ich series. For children who just joined the class, we still have enough of these available for a cost of $6.

Rotating Snack Schedule

Our snack schedules (click link or scroll below) are generally appreciated by students as a welcome break and refreshment. Every student takes turns every once in a while and provides a snack for the whole class. Because choosing a snack is up to the students and their parents, the choice of snack is usually a surprise and may occasionally involve traditional German goodies. For example, Lebkuchen contain almonds, which may or may not have been processed in a facility that also processes peanuts. For these reasons, we do not want to limit the choices and ask parents that you inform us in case your child has food allergies. In this case, we would ask you to provide the appropriate food for your child. In this case, of course, you would not be asked to take part in the snack schedule rotation.
